Looking different can have advantages and disadvantages. It becomes easier to get attention. But difficult to retain that attention. Being the new kid in the block can be hard. He learnt these lessons very early in life.

It is not that he did not try to blend in. There was no way he could fit into the sports teams. No chance of him becoming academically good. His dance moves were not considered cool.

In spite of all that, he came to class every day hoping to find some way to fit in.

Since there was nothing else to do at recess, he auditioned for a play at school. The play titled ‘An Unfortunate Rainy Day’ was about a series of incidents that happened to a boy on a rainy day. It required the character to fall, roll on the floor, beat himself up and make a lot of funny faces.

Not only did he end up landing the leading role, the play turned out to be a big hit as well. Everyone appreciated him for comic timing and expressions.

There was no looking back after that. He discovered his unique skill and became that funniest boy in school.

In gatherings, his jokes always started with the story of a boy who found his fortunes on an unfortunate rainy day.
