If You Had A Choice To Rewind Life

A question posted on Social Media caught my attention today. The question was What would you do differently if you could rewind your life? A very hypothetical question, I agree. But it somehow has the power to make you stop and think. So, I stopped, and I thought. I could immediately think of a couple of things that I would do differently for sure. But then, this is not where I would have been in that case. Right here, sitting on this chair, wearing my favorite white t-shirt and ripped jeans, sipping a hot cup of Frech Roast coffee with oat milk, and writing this blog post that you will read tomorrow. I wouldn’t be doing this. That means you wouldn’t be reading this at the time you will now read it.

The more I thought of what I would not be doing or you would not be doing as a result of it, the more wrong any other choice did not seem right. I mean there is no other place that I would rather be right now. There is no other thing that I would rather do right now. Because this seems just perfect for this moment. Any thought of doing anything else right now made me frown.

The more I thought of anything else, the familiarity of the surroundings that I am currently in, seemed to dwindle away. A strange sense of the unknown and the unfamiliar crept in. Does that mean those other choices would have been wrong? No, I don’t think so. If I had made those other choices, my NOW would have been different and in line with those choices. It would have seemed perfect for that other me doing the other me thing, I think.

A strange chain of thought that I got into. It somehow took away the burden from the moment those choices were made to the aspect of NOW. No matter what the choices, if I do not feel about my NOW the way I feel right now, would that choice matter? I do not know. Or did the experiences that I gained due to the choices I actually made lead me to this NOW; a Now I would not trade for anything else?

It is a confusing and interesting series of thoughts. Our choices and our Nows. Our Nows are a result of our choices, we all understand. But if this is where I had to be Now, then were my past choices led by my Now. 🙂

I don’t mean to say that every Now is perfect. There are times when we all wonder why we made some choices. But in between all such thoughts, there are these perfect Nows that make every decision seem right. In these perfect nows, we lose ourselves and we find ourselves. These perfect nows make even our imperfect lives seem right.

Coming back to the question, there were many answers that were posted to the question. Some said they wouldn’t change a thing about their choices, and others said they would have spent more time and energy focusing on themselves and their personal growth rather than trying to live up to the expectations of others.

What do you have to say to this question? What would you do differently if you could rewind your life? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Wow 👌, a now that I will not trade for anything else 👌👌👌👌

Very beautiful thought process what’s the assurance that even if the past choices were different it wouldn’t have placed us in the same present scenario
