200 Blog Posts and Counting

I wrote my 200th blog post last week. It feels awesome to have come so far. I plan to treat myself to a big piece of my favorite cake today. But not before I express my gratitude to all those who have read my posts and share some of my thoughts.

It is so amazing to know that there are people ( from all over the world) reading my blog post every single day. When I check my blog stats at the end of the day, and I see the number of views, I always smile. I send a thought of gratitude to that person and hope that he/she found something to connect to. I always hope that the 3-5 minutes they spent reading my post was not a waste of time for that person.

I feel motivated to write every week because I know it will be read. I cannot thank my readers enough for that. I immensely value each one of you for choosing to read my post over a thousand others that you could have read at that moment. Thank you all very much and I hope I never disappoint you.

I have gained much more out of blogging than I ever imagined. I have loved blogging more than I ever thought I would.

Writing 200 blog posts over three years, I have learnt at least 200 different things. Learning the technicalities of how to use WordPress (since I use wordpress as my blogging platform) , Bluehost ( since I use bluehost as my hosting company) , Keywords, SEO’s, tags, Pinterest etc has been fun. I learnt it from the many tutorials that are available online. There are a lot of bloggers who regularly write about it and am grateful to all of them for helping me figure a way out whenever I felt stuck.

Thinking of topics to write about, doing my research on them and churning out atleast 500 words every week, has been both challenging, and fun.

In the last three years, I taught myself a lot of things:

  • I taught myself to write consistently.
  • I taught myself to read more so I could write more.
  • I taught myself to listen more so I could think more.
  • I taught myself to think deep so I could understand more.
  • I taught myself to research more so I could be more informed.
  • I taught myself to tap into the corners of my mind so I could understand myself.

I also learnt that words always connect with people in mysterious ways. It is amazing to see how different people connect to the same words in different ways. Every individual looks at it from a unique place of understanding and experience and that gives such different meanings to the same written words. I learnt to appreciate that difference in understanding.

Thank you for being my reader and helping me learn so many things. I am grateful for every minute that you spent on deepakadavakat.com

Like I wrote in my 100th blog post, we keep raising our bars and that is how we keep ourselves motivated to move from one step to the other. It is definitely the joy of the journey that makes the destination worth it. I now look forward to hitting my third century.

Thank you friends.

I shall now enjoy my cake. 🙂
