Pay It Forward
Recently, after dinning at a restaurant, I wrote a small review about their delicious food on a review website. Within a couple of days, that review was read by close to 50 people. I had decided to visit that restaurant after reading reviews on the same website and I was happy that I could play a small role in helping someone else decide on the place to dine. It was a simple act of paying it forward.
Some years ago when I was organizing an event for kids in the community, a little girl asked me why I was taking the effort to do something for her and her friends. The answer was simple. I have good childhood memories because someone else took the initiative to organize events when I was a kid. It’s my turn now and when it is time , hopefully, this little girl will play her part in taking it forward.
The best stories of kindness and gratitude are the ones where a person pays it forward. Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. A term that was made popular by the novel and movie with the same name.

Through this post I want to share a couple of links (4 of them to be exact.) This is my effort to show gratitude towards the people who have helped and motivated me. They have all played a role in making my days more meaningful and productive and I hope they can help you too.
Blogging:
I have been following Alison for sometime now and I find her videos inspiring and educational. Her tips and tricks are very practical and easily implementable. This is a link to her website:

Health and Fitness:
I came across Daniel and Kelly during one of my random searches for free online workout programs more than two years ago. I have been a big fan of all their workout programs and have recommended them to a lot of family and friends. They have close to 500 workout videos uploaded. They can all be done within the comforts of your home with just an exercise mat ( some of them require a pair of dumbbells.) It is a well thought out and effective exercise regime and shows good results when followed with a healthy diet plan.

I recently discovered Sadia at pickuplimes on youtube and have binge watched a lot of her videos on healthy living and delicious vegan recipes. Her calm and composed demeanor and positivity makes me want to become better at whatever I am doing.
You can join the community and experience it for yourself (even if you are not a vegan ) at https://www.pickuplimes.com/
I have benefitted immensely from these people/websites. I really hope you find it useful.

I think paying it forward is a very good philosophy and practice. The world would be a better place if more people did this.
Apt one around Thanksgiving Deepa 🙂
