4 Holiday Checklists For An Effortless Holiday Season

Holiday Season

The countdown for the holidays has begun! With lights and music in every corner of the street, decorated stores and cheerful people around, it is difficult not to fall in love with this season.

“Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love.” – Hamilton Wright Mabie

“The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for those around us.” – Anonymous

Are you all ready for the most awaited holiday season of the year?

I am. I look forward to all the activities that happen around this season.

Hope you have your tickets booked and reservations made.

4 Holiday Checklists

In this blog I want to share 4 holiday checklists that can help you have an effortless holiday season:

  1. A checklist of tasks you have to finish before the holidays begin: You don’t want to worry about an unfinished project or upcoming deadline during the holidays. Finishing them or at least making sure you have brought it into a stage where you can take a break, is important. This could include your work related or house related activities.
  2. Another checklist of items to pack for the holidays so you are not running around on the day of travel to buy or borrow things. Buy/borrow them and stack them in a corner of your closet if you like to pack only in the last minute.
  3. Yet another checklist of activities to do during the holidays, because some of them might need planning and prior reservations. You don’t want to end up without a reservation for the most sort after activity there.
  4. OnThe last checklist of things to do just before you step out of the house. This list has helped me tremendously over the past years. All those simple things that you start worrying about after you sit in the flight or once you beat the traffic and reach away from the house, can be addressed using the checklist. Do not hesitate to put the smallest of things into this list. It could be something like “lock the backyard door” or “switch on  the timer for the outdoor light” or “turn off the coffee machine” or “keep a note for the mailman”. Make sure you have checked them off the list before you lock your door. Even “lock my door” can be added to that list.

Don’t forget to make these 4 holiday checklists as soon as possible. With all of these in place, you are indeed ready for the holidays.

I will be taking a break from blogging until the end of this year. I shall be back in the first week of January 2020.

Wishing all my readers A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year in advance.

Happy Holidays!
